Finance Minister Paudel, IMF deputy director discuss economic improvements

KATHMANDU: International Monetary Fund (IMF) Deputy Director for the Asia Pacific Region, Rupa Duttagupta, met with Deputy Prime Minister and Finance Minister Bishnu Prasad Paudel in Kathmandu today.

During the meeting at the Ministry of Finance, Duttagupta noted the improvement in Nepal's economy. She expressed her encouragement by the recent reforms in investment facilitation laws, the execution of the revenue mobilisation strategy, and the implementation of various economic suggestions, according to a statement from Minister Paudel's Secretariat.

Minister Paudel highlighted that the government is working in a planned manner to strengthen the economy.
