KATHMANDU: As many as 192 people have lost their lives and 30 others are missing due to floods, landslides, and inundation triggered by incessant rains.
Ministry of Home Affairs spokesperson Rishiram Tiwari reported that 194 people have been injured in these natural disasters. Over 4,500 disaster-affected individuals have been rescued so far, with all security agencies mobilised for search, rescue, and relief operations.
Emergency relief materials, including food, have been provided to those affected by the floods and landslides, and the injured are receiving free treatment. Spokesperson Tiwari also stated that efforts are underway to clear obstructed highways to resume traffic operations.
