Lumbini Lions Club unveils new logo ahead of NPL 2024

KATHMANDU: Lumbini Lions Club, a prestigious cricket franchise in the Nepal Premier League (NPL), has officially revealed its new logo as it prepares for the upcoming season. The new visual identity embodies the spirit of the team and the region it represents.

Rohit Poudel, captain of the Nepali cricket team, has been signed by Lumbini Lions as a marquee player. This unveiling marks a significant moment for the team as they gear up for the highly anticipated NPL 2024. The new logo features a bold and fierce lion, symbolising the team's strength, courage, and determination to dominate the league. It reflects the spirit of unity and resilience that defines the team’s identity.

Speaking about the logo unveiling, Ishwar GC, Chairman of Lumbini Lions Club, said, “The logo represents not only our team’s power on the field but also the pride of Lumbini. We are ready to make our mark this season."

Lumbini Lions Cricket Club is eager to set the tone for the Nepal Premier League, bringing a fresh perspective and renewed energy to the game. Fans are encouraged to engage with the new branding on the official social media handles of the Lumbini Lions Club.

Ishwar GC, who is also the Managing Director of Fortuna Health Care and Chairman of GC Group, leads the team alongside members Karan Basnet, Babu Kaji Karki, Sushil Subedi, Devanksh SJB Rana, and Shivank Jung Thapa. Eight teams are participating in the NPL, organised by the Cricket Association of Nepal (CAN). It will start on November 16 in Kathmandu.
