KATHMANDU: Merchant Bankers Association of Nepal (MBAN) successfully conducted its 15th annual general meeting (AGM) on Tuesday in Kathmandu.
The AGM elected Ramendra Rayamajhi of NIC Asia Capital as Chairman, Manis Narayan Joshi of Nabil Investment Bank as Vice-Chairman, Nirmal Bhattarai of Garima Capital as General Secretary, and Shivanth B Pandé of NIMB Ace Capital as Treasurer. Other elected members include Sandip Karki of Siddhartha Capital, Lekhnath Pokhrel of Nepal SBI Merchant Banking, and Pushpa Sharma of Kumari Capital.
The new leadership team, comprising representatives from several leading financial institutions, expressed their commitment to enhancing the role of merchant banking in Nepal. Their focus will be on improving capital market accessibility, promoting sustainable financial practices, and strengthening relationships with regulatory authorities.
The election process was marked by a positive and collaborative atmosphere, reflecting the association’s unity and shared vision for the future. The new executive committee aims to further strengthen MBAN’s collaboration with stakeholders in the financial sector and regulatory bodies.
