SPG Automobiles delivers 100 units of Omoda E5 and Jaecoo J6 units in single day
KATHMANDU: SPG Automobiles, the authorised distributor of Omoda and Jaecoo Co in Nepal, has announced the successful delivery of 100 units of the Omoda E5 and Jaecoo J6 in a single day.
Launched at the NADA Auto Show in late August, the Jaecoo J6 has quickly gained popularity among off-road enthusiasts due to its unmatched power, performance, and rugged design. Last week, many enthusiasts witnessed the J6's capabilities on extreme off-road tracks at the Dirt-Temple challenge. Additionally, the Omoda E5, a futuristic SUV, has gained significant popularity within a few months of its launch. At the recent NADA Auto Show, the Omoda E5 DLX was introduced at Rs 55.99 lakh, a lower variant compared to the Omoda E5 LUX.
The J6 is perfectly equipped for Nepal's challenging off-road conditions, meeting the demands of adventure lovers. It boasts a large and rugged presence with a 2,715 mm wheelbase, 18 or 19-inch wheels, and 200 mm ground clearance, ideal for off-road adventures.
This 5-seater SUV features a large panoramic sunroof, an 8-12 speaker Infinity sound system, and an easy-clean interior design. Its side-hinged tailgate reveals a 264L boot space and a 10kg payload box for emergencies. Safety features include a day and night rear-view mirror, a 360-degree camera, and multiple airbags. The J6 offers outstanding performance for off-road escapades, available in both dual electric motor 4WD with 200Nm torque and 280kW max power, or a single motor variant with 184Nm torque and 135kW max power, accelerating from 0-100 km/h in just 6.5 seconds.
Equipped with CATL-supplied LFP (Lithium Ferros Phosphate) batteries (50.6kWh, 65.7kWh, or 69.7kWh), the J6 boasts a CLTC-standard range of 501 km and rapid charging capabilities, charging from 30% to 80% in just 30 minutes via both DC and AC ports. Overall, it is a comfortable, practical, adventure-ready SUV, suited for Nepali customers.
