KATHMANDU: Cimex Inc, the authorised distributor of BYD Auto Industry Co, has donated Rs 5.1 million to the Prime Minister Disaster Relief Fund to aid flood and landslide victims across the country.

This contribution marks the first donation from the Cimex BYD Charity Foundation (CBCF) since its official launch, demonstrating Cimex and BYD’s shared commitment to corporate social responsibility (CSR). The foundation was established to give back to the community through initiatives focused on education, healthcare, sustainable development, and disaster relief. By contributing to the relief fund, Cimex aims to stand in solidarity with the victims of this natural disaster and extend much-needed support to ongoing rescue and relief operations.

“We at Cimex, alongside BYD, are deeply committed to supporting Nepal and its people in times of need. Through the CBCF, we strive to make a meaningful difference by providing immediate relief and long-term support to those affected by these devastating floods,” said Anil Shrestha, Chairman of Cimex Inc.

This donation not only underscores CBCF’s dedication to responding swiftly in times of national emergency but also aligns with BYD’s global vision of contributing positively to society and fostering sustainable, resilient communities.
