Leapmotor Int'l ships 1st batch of C10 SUVs to Asia Pacific region

KATHMANDU: Leapmotor International, a 51/49 Stellantis-led company between Stellantis and Leapmotor, has shipped the first batch of Leapmotor electric vehicles - C10 SUVs from Shanghai, China, to various ports in the Asia Pacific region this month. This milestone underscores the partnership’s commitment to swiftly delivering sustainable mobility and innovation to the region’s EV market.

Leapmotor’s C10 SUV boasts advanced EV technology, offering superior performance, efficiency, and range. As the third leading Chinese EV start-up, Leapmotor has achieved cumulative deliveries of 460,000 units by September 2024.

This shipment marks the beginning of a long-term collaboration aimed at revolutionising electric mobility in the Asia Pacific. At least one new model is planned for release annually over the next three years.

The C10 is Leapmotor’s inaugural global product, designed to meet international standards for design and safety. Built on Leapmotor’s proprietary LEAP3.0 technology architecture, it features cutting-edge intelligent electric technology, including central integrated electronic and electrical architecture, cell-to-chassis (CTC) technology, and a flagship intelligent cockpit. This family-centric D-segment vehicle offers a premium ride and handling experience, with a 420 km WLTP range and a 5-star E-NCAP rating. The C10 has received multiple accolades, including the 2023 International CMF Design Award, the 2024 Gold Award from the French Design Awards (FDA), and the 2024 Gold Award from the US MUSE Design Awards.
