KATHMANDU: Buddha Air's aircraft with the call sign 9N-AJS was safely diverted to Kathmandu after detecting a technical problem during the flight.
According to Buddha Air's information officer, Dipendra Kumar Karna, the flight was redirected back to Tribhuvan International Airport (TIA) due to an issue with the right engine.
As of the filing of this report, a technical team was assessing the problem. No mountain flights were operated today due to visibility issues in the mountain region. Although five mountain flights of Buddha Air were scheduled, all were cancelled due to dense fog in the mountain region.
