GANDAKI: A total of 30,732 foreign tourists visited the Annapurna Conservation Area Project (ACAP) and Annapurna Circuit from September 17 to October 16.
Approximately 12,000 tourists from South Asian countries and over 18,700 from other countries explored the region during this period.
Chief of ACAP, Dr Rabin Kadariya, reported an increase in visitors since the second week of September and expects the number to rise in the next two months, marking the peak tourist season. He also noted a rise in domestic tourism during this period.
Key attractions in the Annapurna Circuit include Annapurna Base Camp, Mardi Peak, Ghandruk, Sikles, Khumai Danda, Tilicho Lake, Thorang La Pass, Upper Mustang, Muktinath, and Ghodepani of Myagdi.
