KATHMANDU: A SERES brand electric vehicle (EV) was seen emitting smoke this morning due to a technical fault. After unresolved technical issues, the EV was brought to the authorised service centre, where it experienced a short circuit and smoke discharge. Initial investigations suggest that the EV may have been serviced at unauthorised centres in the past, leading to these malfunctions.

Upon arrival at the company's service centre, the problematic vehicle suffered a short circuit, causing smoke. The company swiftly controlled the situation as a safety precaution. According to their investigation, no damage has been found in the battery and motor, and further examination is ongoing.

Meanwhile, the company has urged customers to have their EVs serviced at designated service centres to ensure a safe driving experience, stating that EVs are equipped with numerous safety features.
