KATHMANDU: Ncell Foundation has called for applications for the '19 for 19' grant as part of its ongoing commitment to driving social initiatives under corporate social responsibility (CSR) at the grassroots level. This initiative, launched to mark Ncell’s 19th anniversary, invites eligible organisations to apply for grants aimed at supporting community-level projects that create meaningful and sustainable impact.

Building on the success of last year’s '18 for 18' project, initiated to mark Ncell's 18th year of operations in Nepal, this year’s grant reaffirms Ncell Foundation’s dedication to serving underserved communities. The focus areas include health, education, environment, disaster preparedness and response, and livelihood support, among others.

The '19 for 19' grant will provide financial support to 19 projects across all seven provinces, with each project receiving Rs 1 million. The total commitment for this project from Ncell Foundation exceeds Rs 19 million. The grant is open to not-for-profit organisations working to address critical challenges at the community level.

These grants offer such organisations an excellent opportunity to secure funding for projects that make a difference, particularly those that promote sustainability and long-term development. Ncell Foundation will prioritise projects that demonstrate clear objectives, active community engagement, and potential for further scaling up.

“At Ncell Foundation, we believe in the power of community-driven change. We encourage those working at the community level to apply for this project,” said Bishakha Lakshmi Khadka, Head of Corporate Communications and CSR at Ncell. “Through ‘19 for 19’, we are proud to continue giving back to the communities and people who have been with us for nearly two decades of service. This will empower grassroots projects to create meaningful transformations where they are needed most.”

Last year’s '18 for 18' project successfully supported various community-level initiatives across the country. This year, the '19 for 19' grant aims to further strengthen that legacy by empowering even more local projects supporting development aligned with the sustainable development goals (SDGs), in line with Ncell Foundation’s vision for a better, more sustainable future — Because We Are All Connected.

Eligible and interested organisations can apply for the grant by visiting the Ncell Foundation website and clicking on ‘Apply for Grant’.
