KATHMANDU: Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli has stated that national development is achievable if everyone works together, as the infrastructure and foundation for development are already in place.

Addressing the inauguration ceremony of the Non-Resident Nepali Association (NRNA) Day Celebration, Global Conclave, and AGM 2024 in Kathmandu today, Prime Minister Oli highlighted that the latest technologies are facilitating the development process.

"Necessary infrastructure for development in the country has been created. Now, no district or territory is remote. If everyone works together, the country can be made prosperous," PM Oli said. To maintain the image of the NRN, PM Oli urged everyone to work for the common good. "The Association should not be interfered with by the government. Work independently and impartially; the government is ready to help," he said.

He further clarified that he is the prime minister of the nation, not just of any political party, and that efforts will be directed towards the prosperity of the nation with this spirit in mind. Recalling a discussion with Upendra Mahato about the non-resident Nepali campaign in Moscow in 1999, Prime Minister Oli emphasised his commitment to recognising and providing necessary facilities to the NRN.

The NRN Day is being marked with various programmes under the theme 'Transformation and Unity: Honoured Labour, Investment in Nepal and Continuity of Citizenship'.
