KATHMANDU: Following the public holiday of Tihar, the NEPSE index saw a slight decrease in the stock market that reopened today.
The Nepse index decreased by 0.21 points, settling at 2,677.40, according to the Nepal Stock Exchange (NEPSE).
The sensitive index, which measures the turnover of large companies, decreased by 0.82 points, ending at 477.99. Of the 13 sub-indices traded, seven indices saw an upward trend in share prices, while six indices experienced a downward trend. A total of 9,713,730 units of shares were traded, with a total turnover of Rs 4,205,505,237.61.
According to NEPSE, the share price of Super Mai Hydropower increased by 10%, hitting a positive circuit. Investors in Samaj Laghubitta Bittiya Sanstha (SAMAJ) gained 9.95%, United Modi Hydropower (UMHL) 9.51%, Gurans Laghubitta Bittiya Sanstha Limited (GLBSL) 9.32%, and Rasuwagadhi Hydropower Company (RHPL) gained 8.75%.
Likewise, investors in Mid Solu Hydropower (MSHL) lost 10%, Upper Syange Hydropower (USHL) declined by 8.94%, Samling Power Company (SPC) by 6.49%, Excel Development Bank (EDBL) by 5.97%, and NIC Asia Flexi CAP Fund (NICFC) by 5.91%.
