KATHMANDU: Federation of Handicraft Associations of Nepal (FHAN) is set to organise the 21st Handicraft Trade Fair and the 19th Craft Competition in Kathmandu from December 5 to 9.
The trade fair and handicraft competition aim to promote the national and international market for handicrafts produced by Nepali artists, industrialists, and sculptors.
FHAN announced that the events will be organised with the support of the Ministry of Industry, Commerce and Supplies, and the Trade and Exports Promotion Centre.
Industrialists and entrepreneurs will have the opportunity to exchange knowledge and skills in handicraft design and interact with national and international customers, according to fair coordinator Dilli Ratna Tuladhar.
In the competition, individuals or groups securing the first position will receive a cash prize of Rs 50,000, while the second and third positions will be awarded Rs 30,000 and Rs 20,000, respectively.
FHAN President Prachanda Shakya informed that international guests have been invited to the fair.
