Minister Bhandari highlighted that the friendship, cooperation, and partnership between Nepal and Australia have strengthened since the establishment of diplomatic ties in 1960. He expressed gratitude to Australia for its support in public health, livelihood, human resource development, and other sectors.

Minister Bhandari also drew the Australian Ambassador's attention to the additional foreign assistance Nepal will require as it graduates from least developed country status to middle-income country status in 2026.
