KATHMANDU: The number of stockbroker companies permitted to conduct transactions in Nepal's secondary stock market has reached 90, according to the Nepal Stock Exchange (NEPSE).
In the last fiscal year 2023/24, eighty-two stockbroker companies were authorised for stock transactions. As of October 16, 2024, an additional eight companies have been granted licences, bringing the total to 90.
The memberships of Nagarik Stock Dealer Company and Nabil Stock Dealer have been renewed as stock dealers for the current fiscal year.
Out of the 90 registered stockbroker companies, two — NIMB Stock Markets and Himalayan Securities — have been authorised for full transactions, while the remaining 88 are permitted to conduct limited transactions.
