KATHMANDU: Lumbini Lions have bolstered their bowling attack for the upcoming Nepal Premier League (NPL) by signing Barbadian left-arm fast bowler Ramon Simmonds. He is the fourth international player to join the Lions.

At just 20 years old, Simmonds has already made a name for himself in West Indies cricket. His impressive performances for the West Indies U-19 team, particularly in the ICC U-19 Cricket World Cup, have showcased his potential as a standout pacer. Known for his left-arm pace, he has demonstrated an exceptional ability to bowl under pressure, consistently challenging top-order batsmen with his sharp deliveries.

We believe his bowling skills will be very important to us in the upcoming NPL, and his youthful spirit will inspire the whole team, especially our young players.”

The NPL 2024 is scheduled to start on November 30 and will continue until December 21.
