KATHMANDU: Siddhartha Bank has signed on as the main sponsor of the Nepal Premier League (NPL) 2024, to be organised by the Cricket Association of Nepal (CAN), for a five-year term from 2024 to 2029.
CAN announced Siddhartha Bank's sponsorship at a programme held on November 15, attended by CAN officials, Siddhartha Bank Chairman Manoj Kumar Kedia, the bank's board of directors, CEO Sundar Prasad Kadel, the management team, and chairpersons and CEOs of the bank's sister organisations. The inaugural edition of the Siddhartha Bank Nepal Premier League will take place at the Tribhuvan University International Cricket Ground, Kirtipur, from November 30 to December 21.
Chairman Kedia expressed that the bank's involvement with the NPL is aimed at elevating the cricket landscape in Nepal. CEO Kadel added that this partnership will enhance the level of cricket in Nepal and contribute to the country's economic and social development.
Cricket has recently seen a surge in popularity across all age groups in Nepal, becoming more than just a game and embodying national spirit. As the main sponsor of the NPL for the next five years, Siddhartha Bank believes this association will promote the development of cricket in Nepal and help players gain valuable competitive experience.
