SCT, Pioneer Associate partner to offer card, QR, and other payment services for institutions using 'Kosis' system
KATHMANDU: Smart Choice Technologies (SCT), a payment system operator licensed by Nepal Rastra Bank (NRB), has signed an agreement with Pioneer Associate, a longstanding provider of digital services to financial institutions, to offer card, QR, and inter-bank payment services to cooperatives and financial institutions using Pioneer Associate's ‘Kosis’ system.
The agreement was signed by SCT CEO Manoj Ghimire and Pioneer Associate Managing Director Pioneer Khadka at a programme held at the Pioneer Associate office.
For the past two decades, SCT has been providing various payment services, including card, QR, inter-bank payment, and mobile banking. It offers inter-bank payment services under the Smart Pay brand and QR payment services under the SmartQR brand. The introduction of this new service will facilitate the expansion of payment services through cards and QR to cooperatives, microfinance institutions, and other organisations.
