Visa has appointed Anand Jha as Vice President and Head of Government Engagement for India and South Asia.
In this role, Jha will lead Visa’s engagement with government bodies, regulatory authorities, and key stakeholders across the region. According to Visa, a trusted world leader in digital payment technology that connects and enables individuals, businesses, and economies to thrive, Jha will be a crucial addition to their team.
Most recently, Jha served as Managing Director of Government Relations at Blackstone for India and South Asia. Prior to this, he held senior leadership positions at Heineken and Walmart India. Before joining the private sector, Jha spent close to two decades in public service, holding pivotal roles across diverse ministries and functions of the Government of India, culminating in his appointment as Additional Director General at the Competition Commission of India, Ministry of Corporate Affairs.

Jha holds a Master of Laws (LLM) in International Trade and Commercial Laws from Durham University, along with multiple degrees from the University of Delhi. Additionally, he has earned professional certification from the Saïd Business School at Oxford University.
