KATHMANDU: Prime Minister and Chairperson of CPN (UML) KP Sharma Oli has called on industrialists to invest, highlighting the creation of an investment-friendly environment within the country.

Addressing an awareness assembly organised by CPN (UML) Kathmandu Valley's three district committees at Durbar Marg today, PM Oli encouraged investors to invest with confidence, as the government is on a mission to create a 'Prosperous Nepal and Happy Nepali' by maintaining peace and security.

"Nepal's economy was in a bad state. The economy is improving due to the policies and plans adopted by the current UML-Congress-led government," said Prime Minister Oli.

He urged Nepal's industrialists and multinational companies to invest in the country, assuring them that the government would ensure security and good governance.

In a different context, Prime Minister Oli addressed rumours against them, stating there was no logic in following such baseless claims. "There have been issues like deceiving cooperatives and blaming others, using shameful remarks, and swearing. Any kind of fraud is not acceptable. People will continue to fulfil the vision of 'Prosperous Nepal and Happy Nepali' by maintaining the history and pride of their culture," he said. He challenged those who point fingers at him to engage in face-to-face discussions.

Mentioning that those who do not repay bank loans will harm the country's economy, he claimed that the NEA should collect arrears from defaulting industries as per the bill but should not stop power supply to them.
