Nepal, China sign MoU for cooperation in trade promotion, exchange of technical assistance

BEIJING: Nepal and the People's Republic of China signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) today in Beijing, focusing on cooperation and collaboration in eight areas, including trade promotion and the exchange of technical assistance. The signing ceremony took place in the presence of both countries' premiers.

The MoU was signed following a bilateral meeting between Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli and Chinese Premier Li Qiang at the Great Hall of the People.

Prime Minister Oli is currently in Beijing for a four-day official visit to China.

Before the bilateral meeting, the Chinese People's Liberation Army presented a 'Guard of honour' to PM Oli.

The Nepali delegation, led by Prime Minister Oli, arrived in the Chinese capital on Monday.
