KATHMANDU: Speaker of the House of Representatives, Dev Raj Ghimire, visited the ongoing photo exhibition at the Nepal Art Council, Babarmahal, on Wednesday.
The exhibition, showcasing five decades of cooperation between Nepal and the Asian Development Bank (ADB) in the energy sector, was inaugurated by State Minister for Energy, Water Resources and Irrigation, Purna Bahadur Tamang, on Tuesday.
During his visit on the second day, Speaker Ghimire remarked that the exhibition made him reflect on how times have changed for the better. He noted that it provided valuable insights into the progress made and what is yet to be achieved.
“The condition of the region before the development of electricity, as shown in the exhibition, highlights how challenging the circumstances were. This impactful and practical exhibition showcases progress and offers a vision for how future projects should be conducted,” he said. The Speaker also thanked the ADB for its support in developing the country's energy sector.
