KATHMANDU: Deputy Prime Minister and Minister for Finance Bishnu Prasad Paudel visited a photo exhibition organised by the Photojournalist (PJ) Club, Nepal, in collaboration with the Asian Development Bank (ADB).
Other notable visitors included Hydroelectricity Investment and Development Company (HIDCL) CEO Arjun Kumar Gautam; Independent Power Producers' Association, Nepal (IPPAN) Vice President Ananda Chaudhary; actor and poet Bijau Baral, various schools, colleges, and the general public.
Speaking to journalists after observing the photo exhibition at the Nepal Art Council, Babarmahal, on the occasion of five decades of cooperation between ADB and the Government of Nepal in the development of Nepal's energy sector, Finance Minister Paudel thanked ADB for its support and expressed his hope for continued assistance in the future. He stated that the photo exhibition visually presents the developments in Nepal's energy sector during the 50 years of cooperation between the Government of Nepal and ADB, and it also clarifies the role of ADB in Nepal's energy development.
HIDCL CEO Gautam remarked that the exhibition showcases the support provided by ADB in the development of Nepal’s energy sector, including power generation, transmission, and distribution lines.
IPPAN Vice President Chaudhary noted that the photo exhibition highlights ADB’s contributions to Nepal’s energy development.
