KATHMANDU: Confederation of Nepalese Industries Youth Entrepreneurs Forum (CNIYEF) hosted SYNERGY, its first national leadership conclave, on Friday.
The event, held at Hyatt Place with great enthusiasm and participation, brought together CNIYEF board members from different provinces, members of the CNIYEF Governing Council, and office bearers of the Confederation of Nepalese Industries (CNI). This landmark occasion fostered collaboration and leadership development.
Attendees included CNIYEF's provincial presidents including Munan Rijal (Koshi) and Rajat Bajaj (Madhes), highlighting the event’s nationwide significance and the organisation’s commitment to strengthening its provincial networks. A key highlight was the launch of CNIYEF’s first-ever Membership Directory, reflecting the organisation’s growth and commitment to empowering its members by creating a platform for recognition and networking. The launch marked a significant milestone in CNIYEF's journey, emphasising its role as a dynamic forum for young entrepreneurs.
The event also featured a panel discussion titled 'Pioneering Leadership: From Vision to Reality - Strengthening Leadership and Policy Advocacy for Sustainable Growth'. Moderated by CNIYEF Past President Prashi Agrawal, the session brought together three eminent speakers from CNI: President Rajesh Kumar Agrawal, Immediate Past President Vishnu Kumar Agarwal, and Senior Vice President Birendra Raj Pandey.
During the discussion, CNI President Agrawal emphasised the importance of visionary leadership in navigating Nepal’s evolving business landscape. He highlighted the potential of young entrepreneurs to shape the country’s economic future through innovation and resilience, stating, “Leadership is not just about directing; it’s about inspiring and enabling people to create solutions that drive long-term growth.”
CNI Immediate Past President Agarwal reflected on his leadership journey, sharing insights on the value of resilience and collaboration in achieving sustainable development. He underscored the need for robust public-private partnerships to address policy challenges, remarking, “The ability to influence policy constructively is a hallmark of true leadership. We must champion reforms that prioritise sustainability and inclusivity.”
CNI Senior Vice President Pandey focused on the vital role of policy advocacy in fostering a business-friendly environment. He emphasised the importance of youth-led forums like CNIYEF in contributing to policymaking, stating, “Young leaders are not just the future; they are the present drivers of change. It is essential that their voices are heard in policy discussions at all levels.”
The SYNERGY conclave concluded with a renewed commitment to empowering young entrepreneurs and driving sustainable economic growth through leadership and advocacy.
