KATHMANDU: The entire domestic flight service of Nepal Airlines Corporation (NAC) has come to a halt due to a lack of aircraft.

All of NAC's domestic flights are currently suspended following the grounding of its only operational Twin Otter plane.

The national flag carrier owns two Twin Otter planes, one of which has been grounded for the past seven months. NAC Spokesperson, Ramesh Poudel, stated that domestic flights could not operate from Sunday due to technical issues.

Poudel assured that flight services would resume soon after resolving the technical glitches, despite the aircraft being grounded for some time.

"Necessary processes have been initiated to resolve the issues," he stated.

NAC had been operating flights to airports in remote districts from its base in Kathmandu and regional hubs.
