KATHMANDU: Xiaomi, a global technology leader, has partnered with the Nepal Traffic Police Department to launch a traffic and safety guide awareness campaign via video media platforms. This initiative underscores Xiaomi’s commitment to societal welfare and its role as a responsible corporate citizen.

The awareness campaign, delivered through powerful video messages, highlights the critical importance of adhering to traffic rules and the grave consequences of neglecting road safety. The videos address major causes of road accidents in Nepal, such as speeding, drunk driving, jaywalking, failure to use overhead bridges, and the hazards of mobile phone use while driving. The campaign aims to reduce road accidents and casualties by promoting responsible driving practices.

Manu Manaswi, Country Manager of Xiaomi Nepal, commented, "At Xiaomi, we recognise our responsibility not just as a business, but as contributors to the safety and well-being of the communities we serve. This traffic awareness campaign, in collaboration with the Nepal Traffic Police, represents our effort to create a meaningful impact and promote safer roads for all."

This partnership between Xiaomi Nepal and the Nepal Traffic Police seeks to effectively communicate the importance of road safety and adherence to traffic rules, encouraging individuals to act responsibly and contribute to safer roads.

As a corporate entity devoted to social responsibility, Xiaomi Nepal regularly engages in initiatives aimed at uplifting local communities. The company remains committed to fostering safety, friendship, and happiness within society and will continue to participate in efforts that benefit the well-being of the people of Nepal.
