PM Oli expresses sorrow over passing of former Indian PM Singh

KATHMANDU: Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli has expressed his sorrow over the passing of former Indian Prime Minister Manmohan Singh. "I would like to extend my heartfelt condolences on the passing of Manmohan Singh," Prime Minister Oli said.

In a post on his Facebook wall today, Prime Minister Oli said, "My friend Dr Manmohan Singh, former Prime Minister of Mitra Rashtra India, has passed away at the age of 92. I remember the conversations with him regarding the mutual interests of Nepal and India. My heartfelt condolences to the late Manmohan Singh."

Former Indian Prime Minister Singh, also a pioneering economist, passed away on Thursday at the age of 92.
