KATHMANDU: Price of the precious yellow metal has risen by Rs 1,400 per tola (11.66 grams) in the domestic market today.
However, the price of silver has remained unchanged compared to yesterday. The increase in gold prices in the international market and internal demand are cited as reasons behind the rise.
According to the Federation of Nepal Gold and Silver Dealers' Association (FENEGOSIDA), the price of gold has been set at Rs 151,000 per tola as of Wednesday. It was traded at Rs 149,600 per tola on Tuesday. Silver remains steady at Rs 1,765 per tola today.
