International standard stadium to be built in Janakpurdham

MAHENDRANAGAR, DHANUSHA: Chief Minister of Madhesh Province, Satish Kumar Singh, has said the preparation of a detailed project report (DPR) is underway for the construction of Ramjanaki Multipurpose Stadium in Janakpurdham, which will meet international standards.

During the inauguration of the Jaya Trophy Men's Elite Cup cricket championship in Janakpurdham today, the Chief Minister stated that the provincial government will sign an agreement on Monday with the National Sports Council and Guthi Sansthan to develop the stadium.

He mentioned that there are some technical issues to address before calling for bids for the project, which is estimated to cost between Rs 2.5 billion and Rs 3 billion. He also pledged to cooperate and coordinate with the youth in the province to enhance infrastructure development and create opportunities for them.
