BIRATNAGAR: Chamber of Industries Morang (CIM) is set to organise the 'Birat Expo 2025' to promote economic and industrial development in the Morang district.
The trade and industrial fair will be held at the playground of Degree Campus Biratnagar, Jatuwa, in Biratnagar Metropolitan City-14, from January 24 to February 2, according to a press meet held on Monday.
Bholeshwor Dulal, Coordinator of the Expo Management Committee and CIM Vice President (Agro/Hydro/Energy Sector), announced that the expo will feature nine pavilions with a total of 268 stalls.
CIM President Rakesh Surana revealed that the expo will showcase stalls focused on startup vision, Koshi hackathon, employment, professional services, information, education and digital technology, automobiles, industrial corporate, agriculture, tourism, and food from Nepal, India, Pakistan, and Bangladesh.
Prominent figures, including Morang's Chief District Officer Prem Prasad Bhattarai, FNCCI Koshi Province President Rajendra Raut, Morang Merchants' Association Vice President (Commerce) Anil Kumar Shah, Federation of Nepali Journalists (FNJ) Koshi Province President Bharat Khadka, CIM Senior Vice President Nanda Kishor Rathi, and Vice President (Employer Sector) Bipin Kabra, expressed their optimism that the expo would stimulate economic activities in the region.
Coordinator Dulal confirmed that internal preparations are complete, and the stalls are gradually being set up for Birat Expo 2025.
