PM Oli attends RPP tea reception to mark 303rd Prithvi Jayanti

KATHMANDU: Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli attended a tea reception organised by the Rastriya Prajatantra Party (RPP) on Saturday, in celebration of the 303rd Prithvi Jayanti.

Poush 27 (11 January) marked the 303rd birth anniversary of Prithvi Narayan Shah, the founder of modern Nepal.

The tea reception, held at Bhrikutimandap in Kathmandu, saw Rajendra Lingden, Chairman of the Rastriya Prajatantra Party (RPP), welcoming distinguished guests, including Prime Minister and Chairperson of CPN (UML) KP Sharma Oli. Lingden praised the legacy of Prithvi Narayan Shah and emphasised the importance of national unity.

Lingden also highlighted the relevance of Shah's teachings, known as the Divyopadesh, in promoting patriotism, national self-sufficiency, and good governance.

Addressing the event, Prime Minister Oli emphasised the importance of national unity and the legacy of Prithvi Narayan Shah in shaping modern Nepal. He highlighted the need for continued efforts to strengthen the nation's unity and progress.

In a similar gesture, RPP Nepal, led by Kamal Thapa, also organised a tea reception on the same occasion.
