Agriculture Minister stresses role of cooperatives in making women self-reliant

KIRTIPUR: Minister for Agriculture and Livestock Development, Ramnath Adhikari, has emphasised the pivotal role of cooperatives in empowering women towards self-reliance.

Speaking at the inauguration of 'Digital Himalayan Sweets and Treats', a fruit processing industry established by the Digital Multipurpose Cooperative Society, Minister Adhikari highlighted the significance of cooperatives in poverty alleviation and women's self-reliance.

Minister Adhikari mentioned that women-led cooperatives face relatively fewer challenges. He observed that local cooperatives have successfully enabled women to become self-reliant, reducing their financial dependence on their husbands.
