NOC hikes fuel prices; petrol costs Rs 165 per litre in Kathmandu

KATHMANDU: Nepal Oil Corporation (NOC) has announced an increase in fuel prices, effective from today.

The NOC has raised the price of petrol by Rs 2 per litre and the price of diesel and kerosene by Rs 3 per litre.

Following this adjustment, petrol will cost Rs 162.5 per litre in the first cluster of locations, Rs 164 per litre in the second cluster, and Rs 165 per litre in the third cluster.

Similarly, the prices of diesel and kerosene have been set at Rs 153.5 per litre for the first cluster, Rs 155 per litre for the second cluster, and Rs 156 per litre for the third cluster.

The state-owned corporation has classified Charali, Biratnagar, Janakpur, Amlekhganj, Bhalbari, Nepalgunj, Dhangadhi, and Birgunj depots as the first cluster; Surkhet and Dang as the second cluster; and Kathmandu, Pokhara, and Dipayal depots as the third cluster.
