Gold price rises by Rs 1,200 per tola; traded at Rs 156,600 per tola

KATHMANDU: The increase in the price of gold in the international market has had a direct impact on the local market in Nepal.

The price of gold today stands at $2,695 per ounce in the international market.

According to Federation of Nepal Gold and Silver Dealers' Association (FENEGOSIDA), the price of gold has risen by Rs 1,200 per tola (11.66 grams) in the domestic market today. It is currently being traded at Rs 156,600 per tola, up from Rs 155,400 on Wednesday.

Similarly, silver is being traded at Rs 1,880 per tola today, compared to Rs 1,830 per tola on Wednesday.
