BHADRAPUR: Revenue collection at the Inland Revenue Office, Bhadrapur has increased by 12.37% year-on-year in the first six months of the current fiscal year 2024/25. The office reported it had collected more than Rs 1.51 billion by the month of Poush, compared to Rs 1.35 billion in the same period of the previous fiscal year.
Officer Gyanendra Rai at the Inland Revenue Office, Bhadrapur, stated that the office has set a target of Rs 4 billion in revenue collection for the current fiscal year. However, the target of Rs 1.88 billion for the first six months could not be met.
During the review period, income tax contributed the highest with Rs 663.1 million, followed by Rs 520 million from VAT, and Rs 265 million from excise duty.
Revenue Officer Rai highlighted that regular market monitoring and vigilance have been intensified to meet the revenue collection target.
