KATHMANDU: An interaction programme on loan utilisation was conducted in Tokha Municipality, Kathmandu, on Saturday.
The one-day event organised by Tokha Development Research Society, Tokha-10, in collaboration with Nabil Bank, featured discussions on various topics related to loans, including reasons to take a loan, the appropriate loan amount, and sources for obtaining loans. Depositors and borrowers addressed issues arising from improper loan utilisation.
Held under the chief hospitality of Nabil Bank Chairman Upendra Prasad Poudyal, the programme included training sessions on loan utilisation by Rishi Wagle and Anurag Gnyawali.
Ramji Regmi, Chair of Tokha Development Research Society, Tokha-10, and former director of Nepal Rastra Bank (NRB), stated that the feedback and suggestions from the event will be compiled into a report and presented to banks and financial institutions (BFIs).
Regmi further mentioned that the opinions and suggestions raised during the interaction would inform depositors and borrowers about policy arrangements and guidelines for proper loan utilisation. He also responded to queries raised during the discussion.
