NEPSE index surpasses 2,600 points; 171 companies see gains

KATHMANDU: Nepal Stock Exchange (NEPSE) index has surpassed 2,600 points today, increasing by 0.48% or 12.58 points to close at 2,601.21 points after trading.

A total of 12,982,619 shares from 325 companies were traded for Rs 6,257,235,624.3 today, bringing the market capitalisation to Rs 1,439,989,647,932.4.

The share prices of 171 companies rose, while 68 declined. Prices of four companies remained unchanged.

The share price of Bottlers Nepal (Balaju) saw the imposition of a green circuit today. Similarly, the share price of Wean Nepal Laghubitta Bittiya Sanstha increased by 9.09%, Samling Power Company by 7.46%, and Nepal Republic Media by 7.37%.

Conversely, the share price of Super Madi Hydropower saw a red circuit today. The share price of NIC Asia Select Fund 30 decreased by 6.93%, and River Falls Power Limited by 6.45%.
