KATHMANDU: Pacific Asia Travel Association (PATA) Nepal Chapter held a meeting in New Delhi, India, to develop a strategy for promoting tri-nation tourism between Nepal, India, and China.
Issuing a press statement on Sunday, PATA Nepal Chapter reported that the meeting was conducted with the Indian business community to strengthen cooperation and partnership in India, aiming to ensure the success of Nepal-India-China Expo (NICE), scheduled for February 24-26 in Pokhara.
NICE is the first-of-its-kind tri-nation tourism expo, bringing together tourism and hospitality stakeholders and organisations from the public and private sectors of Nepal, India, and China on a single platform. The event is expected to provide unparalleled networking and business opportunities, along with deep industry insights and inspirational experiences.
PATA Nepal Chapter CEO Suresh Singh Budal and NICE goodwill ambassador for India Upal Majumdar consulted with prominent tourism entrepreneurs in New Delhi to ensure the effective conduct of NICE. All participating organisations and their representatives have pledged to support Nepal's initiative to promote tourism and cross-border cooperation in the tourism sector.
In December, Budal also held consultations with the Chinese business community during his NICE promotional visit to China.
