KATHMANDU: At the eighth edition of Birat Expo, the Chamber of Industries Morang (CIM) will offer insights into quality management systems essential for new investors in the industrial sector.

The Birat Expo 2025 is scheduled to be held in Biratnagar Metropolitan City-14 from January 24 to February 2.

As part of the initial phase of the Q-HSEF management standard system launched by the organiser, arrangements have been made at the expo venue for a quality management system and self-testing.

The trade and industrial fair will take place at the playground of Degree Campus Biratnagar, Jatuwa, in Biratnagar.

Industrialists and businesspersons will have the opportunity to test their quality management systems, assessing the status and capacity of their industries and industrial establishments according to the quality standard system. This includes compliance with necessary provisions and the overall condition and capacity of their industries.

During the expo, arrangements have been made to assess the managerial capacity of industries through a digital platform and provide immediate results. This self-test result will indicate the actions required to obtain a quality standard certificate and identify areas for capacity development. According to CIM, this platform is the initial stage of the Q-HSEF Management Standards System launched by the organisation.

CIM launched the Q-HSEF quality system, tailored to meet the needs of local industry businesses, in July 2024. The Q-HSEF quality system is based on existing national and international quality certification standards.
