NATTA team departs for International Tourism Fair in Spain

KATHMANDU: A delegation from Nepal Association of Tour & Travel Agents (NATTA) has set off for Spain to participate in the International Tourism Fair.

The delegation led by NATTA President Kumar Mani Thapaliya, embarked on their journey to Spain this morning to participate in the International Travel Trade Fair in Madrid, slated from January 22 to 26. The participation is in collaboration with the Nepal Tourism Board (NTB).

According to Dhak Nath Kafle, NATTA’s joint treasurer and programme coordinator, more than 50 representatives from over 25 travel, trekking, and hotel businesses in Nepal will take part in the event.

President Thapaliya highlighted that such fairs are instrumental in showcasing Nepal's tourism sector globally. He stressed the importance of ongoing involvement in these programmes for the sustainable development of tourism in Nepal.

NATTA reports that over 100,000 tourism industry professionals, businesspersons, representatives, and business partners from around the world are expected to attend the international fair in Spain.

Thapaliya further added that these fairs are vital for bolstering economic activities by promoting Nepal’s attractive destinations and tourism resources on a global stage.
