KATHMANDU: The inauguration of Birat Expo 2025, to be organised by the Chamber of Industries Morang (CIM), has been rescheduled to 1:00 pm on January 25, with Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli as the chief guest.

Initially scheduled for 2:00 pm on January 24, the inauguration was postponed by a day due to technical issues, ensuring the expo's organisation in a fully digital and international format, according to organisers.

The eighth edition of Birat Expo will be held at the playground of Degree Campus Biratnagar, Jatuwa, in Biratnagar Metropolitan City-14.

This year’s Expo prioritises digital technology, focusing on youth entrepreneurship promotion. CIM has urged all stakeholders to visit the CIM Centre for Excellence for entrepreneurship and business, and the Koshi Pavilion for employment. The expo will showcase digital technology, provide direct technical training and career counselling, host startup hackathon to transform ideas into entrepreneurship, feature daily thematic conferences, thematic fashion show reflecting technology and industry, daily entrepreneurship mindset training workshops for students, coffee-related latte art competition, coffee tasting sessions, daily cultural programmes, and variety of other activities targeting all participants.

Following the inauguration, all other programmes scheduled until February 2 will proceed as planned.

Meanwhile, CIM has apologised to the main sponsors, sponsors, partner promoters, contributors, exhibitors, visitors, and collaborators of Birat Expo 2025 for any inconvenience caused by the rescheduling and anticipates full support and cooperation to make Birat Expo successful.
