NCC IPP Malla awarded 'distinguished commercial service medal'

KATHMANDU: Rajendra Malla, Immediate Past President (IPP) of Nepal Chamber of Commerce (NCC) and President of the Non-Life Insurance Business Association, has been awarded the Distinguished Commercial Service Medal (Bishishta Banijya Sewa Padak).

Malla was honoured at the Third Birat Music and Film Award-2081 in recognition of his significant contributions to the development of the trade and industry sector. With 40 years of leadership experience in the business sector, Malla has been a pivotal figure.

Organisers highlighted Malla's professional leadership and contributions to the social sector, noting that he has led numerous campaigns within both social and corporate spheres. Malla remarked that the corporate sector inspired him to engage more extensively in social work.

The award was jointly presented by former Minister for Physical Infrastructure and Transport, Prakash Jwala, and Film Development Board's Executive Chairperson, Dinesh DC. This honour acknowledges Malla’s dedication to the advancement of Nepal's trade and industry sector.
