
KATHMANDU: Deputy Prime Minister and Minister for Finance, Bishnu Prasad Paudel, has directed relevant bodies to address existing problems and prioritise efforts towards liberalisation of the financial sector.
During a meeting of the High-level Financial Sector Coordination Committee, Finance Minister Paudel emphasised that despite economic improvements, it is crucial to prioritise programmes and resolve issues faced by regulatory bodies to enhance their effectiveness.
In the meeting with officials and representatives from National Planning Commission (NPC), Nepal Rastra Bank (NRB), Department of Cooperatives, Nepal Insurance Authority, Securities Board of Nepal (SEBON), Nepal Bankers' Association, and the Office of the Company Registrar, Finance Minister Paudel highlighted the importance of setting priorities to achieve better results.
The discussions covered various issues, including the economy, banks, cooperatives, liquidity, loans, and grants.
