PARBAT: The world's tallest and longest 'Megatroll' has commenced operations at 'The Cliff' in Kushma Municipality, Parbat district.

Standing at 225 metres tall and stretching 1,228 metres in length, the Megatroll is set to become a major attraction at The Cliff, which is emerging as a prominent destination for adventure tourism.

Riders can experience the Megatroll from its tower at The Cliff premises in Balewa to the tower below Kushma Bazaar. It accommodates up to three people at a time, with options for solo or partnered rides, according to Raju Karki, Chairperson of The Cliff.

Typically, the Megatroll operates at a speed of 140 kilometres per hour, although this can be increased. The ride duration ranges from seven to 12 minutes.

Chairperson Karki stated that Rs 40 million has been invested in the Megatroll's operation. Construction began a year ago, and it has been commercially operational since Thursday following successful tests conducted two weeks ago.

"Riders can enjoy the Megatroll experience while taking in the view of the Kaligandaki River. We are delighted to launch another adventurous sport for tourists, and we expect it to contribute further to socio-economic development alongside tourism," Karki said.

The fare for a solo ride on the Megatroll is set at Rs 4,000, while a group of three can ride for Rs 9,500.

Additionally, other structures, including an adventurous swimming pool, are under construction, Karki added. The number of tourists visiting the area has significantly increased following the tarmacking of the Kaligandaki Corridor and Mid-Hill Highway.
