
KATHMANDU: Nepal Stock Exchange (NEPSE) index increased by 0.73%, or 19.56 points, to close at 2,698.03 points after today's trading.
A total of 20,984,440 shares from 309 companies were traded, amounting to Rs 9,470,308,266.50 through 96,282 transactions, bringing the market capitalisation to Rs 4,478,942,968,808.
In today's trading, the Mutual Fund index decreased by 0.11%, and the Non-Life Insurance index by 1.28%, while all other sub-indices increased. The Finance index saw the highest increase at 4.94%. The Banking sub-index increased by 0.98%, the Development Bank index by 0.08%, the Hotels and Tourism index by 1.95%, and the Hydropower index by 0.36%.
Additionally, the Investment index increased by 1.17%, the Life Insurance index by 0.39%, the Manufacturing and Processing index by 0.20%, the Microfinance index by 1.86%, the Trading index by 0.25%, and the Others index by 0.38%.
Today, the highest increase in share prices was posted by Wean Nepal Laghubitta Bittiya Sanstha (WNLB), Gurans Laghubitta Bittiya Sanstha (GLBSL), Nepal Finance (NFS), and Janaki Finance Company (JFL), each rising by 10%. In contrast, the share prices of Nyadi Hydropower (NYADI), NLG Insurance Company (NLG), NIBL Stable Fund (NIBLSTF), and Barahi Hydropower Public Limited (BHPL) declined by 10%, 9.55%, 7.48%, and 7.41% respectively.
