KATHMANDU: Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli has stressed the need for the three tiers of government to work together for the country's development.
In a special address at the meeting of the Lumbini Province Assembly today, Prime Minister Oli stated that the country should be developed through the efforts of its own citizens rather than relying on external support. "Neighbouring China was poor 40 years ago; now it has become rich on its own merit. We must develop our country through our own efforts by increasing the use of technology and identifying what can be produced in particular areas. The market is found where it is possible to cultivate and produce with great results. That is why we must focus on production," Prime Minister Oli said.
He highlighted the need for the expansion of industry and stated that it should be facilitated by the government. He stressed that the three tiers of government should move forward with cooperation in this regard. "The central government has introduced various ordinances to expand investment and develop the information technology sector," he said.
Prime Minister Oli further remarked, "It is wrong to oppose someone for any other reason. In general, the ordinance has brought new enthusiasm to the industry, business, and information technology sectors."
