
KATHMANDU: Nepal Stock Exchange (NEPSE) index increased by 0.46%, or 12.68 points, closing at 2,740.59 points after today's trading.
A total of 18,230,302 shares from 314 companies were traded on Tuesday, amounting to Rs 10,437,006,214.82 through 99,585 transactions, bringing the market capitalisation to Rs 4,548,317,100,744.2.
In today's trading, the Banking sub-index increased by 0.22%, Investment index by 1.24%, Life Insurance index by 1.74%, Non-Life Insurance index by 0.30%, and Trading index by 0.41%. All other sub-indices increased by 3.67%, while all other categories' sub-indices decreased.
The Development Bank index decreased by 1.74%, Finance index by 1.50%, Hotels and Tourism index by 1.04%, Hydropower index by 0.13%, Manufacturing and Processing index by 0.06%, Microfinance index by 0.79%, and Mutual Fund index decreased by 0.05%.
The highest increase in share prices was posted by Wean Nepal Laghubitta Bittiya Sanstha (WNLB), Gurans Laghubitta Bittiya Sanstha (GLBSL), Emerging Nepal (ENL), and Guardian Micro Life Insurance (GMLI).
The share prices of Saptakoshi Development Bank (SAPDBL) and the 10.25% KBL Debenture 2086 (KBLD86) declined today.
In terms of turnover, the highest share value traded was from Himalayan Reinsurance (HRL), totalling Rs 820,236,910.20, with a volume of 893,085 shares traded in 7,119 transactions.
