Triyog High School emerges as winner at first inter-school hackathon

KATHMANDU: Nepal's first-ever inter-school hackathon, Hack-अ-Thon, successfully concluded its final Demo Day in Kathmandu. 

The event marked the culmination of months of dedication and innovation, witnessed by over 500 students, school representatives, sponsors, tech enthusiasts, and distinguished guests.

From 47 participating teams representing 33 schools, the top seven finalists showcased their groundbreaking projects, demonstrating exceptional innovation and problem-solving skills. 

Triyog High School emerged as the winner and received Rs 1,00,000. Aksharaa School was the first runner-up, awarded Rs 75,000, while Praramva World School secured the position of second runner-up and received Rs 50,000.

Organised by Adhyayan School and Leapfrog Technology, in collaboration with Code for Nepal and Veda, Hack-अ-Thon brought together 235 students to address real-world challenges in education, health, and society. The programme, which included orientation sessions, mentorship opportunities, and the final showcase, highlighted the immense potential of Nepal’s young innovators.

Hack-अ-Thon was more than just a competition; it served as a platform for nurturing future tech leaders, fostering creativity, collaboration, and impact-driven innovation within the Nepali student community.
