KATHMANDU: Federation of Nepalese Chambers of Commerce and Industry (FNCCI) President Chandra Prasad Dhakal has urged Israeli investors to invest in Nepal.
President Dhakal made this appeal during a meeting with the Israeli Ambassador to Nepal, Shmulik Arie Bass, at the FNCCI Secretariat in Teku, Kathmandu, on Thursday. The discussion focused on enhancing bilateral relations, economic development, and trade promotion between the two countries.
Highlighting Israel's long-standing support for Nepal’s agriculture sector and employment opportunities it has provided to Nepali youth, FNCCI President Dhakal called on Ambassador Bass to collaborate in making this relationship more effective. “Nepal has ample investment prospects in the agriculture, tourism, energy, and Information Technology (IT) sectors. Both countries can benefit from these prospects in industry and trade. Therefore, I urge Israeli investors to invest in Nepal,” Dhakal said.

Ambassador Bass, speaking about the enduring relationship between Nepal and Israel, expressed his commitment to contributing to Nepal’s economic and social development during his tenure. “Israel and Nepal have been cooperating in various fields for a long time. Especially through small farmers’ cooperatives, Nepalis have been provided with various opportunities in Israel. Nepali farmers have benefited from this,” Bass said.
The Israeli Ambassador reaffirmed his positive stance on cooperation with FNCCI and expressed the view that mutual cooperation will be further strengthened in the coming days.
